In March 2011, Pathways Bushfire recovery Project held a song writing/recording workshop with 12 Year 8’s from Broadford Secondary College in Victoria.
The School has been running a program facilitated by welfare workers Jason and Kirsty, to foster students pride in school and community.
The workshop was held in the Broadford Youth Space and run by Steve Lane and Wayne Glenn as part of the Pathway’s Bushfire Recovery Youth and Nusic Program, proudly sponsored by Sony.
The song was written and recorded in one day by the 12 young people with help from Steve, Wayne, Kirsty & Jason.
The students met again a month or so later, to plan a video clip top go with the song.
The video was shot in and around Broadford on Monday May 20th 2011 on a typical sunny and brilliantly blue sky day.
The song was recorded by Steve & Wayne, edited & mixed by Steve and mastered by Joseph Carra at Crystal Mastering.
